You will leave with a 10 x 10 mixed media piece of art!

At this workshop we will create a one of a kind unique piece of art on a 10 x 10 canvas. We will use paint, ink, scraps of paper, fabric and vintage recycled doilies. This class is meant to discover the world of Mixed Media Art in a simple but fun way. 

We will start by layering the background of the canvas and then choosing from all my supplies provided, we will create a painting and collage with  a doily as the central focus. You will be using paint, papers, inks, stamps, and inspirational messages. But it is up to you to choose and design what you want, guided with simple instruction by me!

Feel free to bring your own doily, maybe you have one from a relative that means something to you. Also if you have any brooches or other items you want to incorporate feel free to bring!

This class will be approximately 2 1/2 hours 

When creating my art, I work in stages, starting with the background and building up from there. I am usually working on many paintings at once and usually come back to them later. There is lots of drying time between layers.   With this workshop we will do a small version of this in this class.  (I use fans to increase drying time.)
